Budapest Power Plant Ltd. would like to install 2 x 5 MWe gas turbines at its Kelenföld 44MW power plant.
The produced electricity will cover the self-consumption of the summer tram, and it will dispose the redundant electricity through the national electricity network. Kraftszer Ltd. has signed a contract with the Investors to prepare the documents for the execution plans and the permitting of the power plant, the permitting procedures of the establishment, the necessary construction / foundation activities, installation and pipeline works (gas pipe, flue-gas system), control engineering and power transmission execution works. The construction will take place in two stages. One of the gas turbines will be operating by summer 2009 and the second unit will be installed the following spring (2010).
