In the industrial sector for 30 years - The beginning

Kraftszer Kft has been present in the Hungarian industrial energy sector for about 30 years. We can state that through these 3 decades we have become a dominant and stable player on the market. The philosophy of our company and at the same time the key to our success has been the knowledge base that we have been expanding continuously from the beginning. We use this basis to provide our partners with a full range of project services that are unique in the market and comply with the most up-to-date standards.

One of our first tasks was the conversion of a boiler house in 1990 for Opel Hungary in Szentgotthárd.

This task included the

  • designing,
  • permitting,
  • full assembly and
  • placing into operation

of the boiler house and the heat center.

 

Even currently, this boiler house satisfies the complete heating needs of the Opel car factory in Szentgotthárd, as well as its 4 bar pressure technological steam requirements. The converted heat center provides 24+1 hour unsupervised operation, in which built-in subsystems ensure the automated operation of the primary equipment without a controller (e.g.: condensation level regulation, boiler sludge removal, continuous salinity and conductivity inspection of the boiler’s water supply).

The above described primary equipment include: 2 pcs of 12 t/hour, and 1 pc of 7 t/hour capacity steam boilers manufactured by Láng, with combined dual-block burners, assembled steam distributer-collector, accessory equipment, electric power transmission equipment, control technology elements, monitoring system.

By today a portion of the boilers have been replaced by gas-boilers and more modern boilers, but the old Láng boilers are still operating to this day.

On the area of the boiler house signs, which are harder to read today, mark the work of Kraftszer Kft everywhere. Here are a few examples. 

                                      

                                                                    

Our colleague, Gábor Kuti, has been working at our company’s branch in Szentgotthárd since 2003.  

We asked him about the experiences of these past years:

 

I have practically been with the company since 2 June 2003. I applied for a job based on a newspaper advertisement, when Kraftszer Kft was searching for staff to manage the company’s branch in Szentgotthárd. Currently, two staff members work here together with me, Róbert Hauszgénusz (hired in 1998) and Krisztián Kovács (hired in 2016), both of them work in pipe-fitter positions. We perform the work here together.

What are the tasks that you perform? 

We mainly work on building engineering repair and implementation assignments. We are frequently contacted for internal conversions of machines as well. In the past we have performed numerous tasks that are done internally within processing machines, and we still perform them today. These include fitting extra pipes, conversions and replacements. Today, based on the experience of 16 years, I can state that the colleagues at Opel trust us, because we are fast and flexible. It has happened several times that a production line stopped as a result of a malfunction in one of their machines, and thanks to our expertise they managed to eliminate the malfunction and restart the production line within a very short time. 

Currently, compared to previous years, our situation has changed, because as you may have been informed, they are in the process of switching from Opel engines to Peugeot engines, so the staff there will need to manufacture a lower number of engines. The switch will be completed by 2020 and we hope that it will provide engine production here with new momentum.  

 

Could you tell us a few examples about what you performed this year?

 

  • We made collection tanks

 

Here our task was to find an alternate solution for the reliable operation of our client, instead of the old and low capacity pump, which was supposed to pump a lot of chips with a very low amount of fluid, so it was often clogged. It was the result of joint thinking with our colleagues at Opel that we installed a collection tank, where the chip emulsion flows, so there will be enough emulsion in it for a higher capacity chip crushing pump to move it. We installed 7 such tanks under 7 such units with 7 high capacity pumps.

 

  • We performed the fencing of numerous larger and smaller warehouses  

This included design, the manufacturing of the products as well as assembly works.   

 

  • We are called to relocation assignments as well  

For example, most recently we performed the relocation of the center of a lubrication technology company together with my colleagues.

Here our task was the installation of 2 pcs of 2 inch pipelines as well as the relocation of their connected tanks. The length of the two pipelines is 640 meters, which we moved to their current location from the tank farm. On top of this, we installed a handwashing unit and we performed its water and sewage links. We also had to bring the drinking water pipeline from the pipe bridge to the handwashing unit and we performed the placement and installation of a water heater as well as an eye-washing unit, because the work here also involves chemicals. 

 

  • We have also performed HVAC piping

When fresh air supply proved to be insufficient in the office built in the production hall, we were requested to remedy this problem as well.

 

  • We recently completed the replacement of rainwater drainage pipes in the production hall   

We installed the KG PVC pipe that you can see overhead 2-3 weeks ago, because the old one was made of ordinary steel more than 30 years ago and rusted through the years. Holes had formed in multiple places, which posed a risk of accident during rainy autumns in the hall, so we had to act fast here as well.

Our colleagues at Opel requested a solution recommendation then accepted my concept. After procuring the material we also performed the implementation works. We produced a support for the pipeline and we also remedied its horizontal swing, we propped it out.

 

  • Technological extraction  

This is a technological extraction trunk-line, in which the extraction of emulsion is conducted. It extracts the emulsion steam from machines, which is created during processing work, through a filter system and releases it into the open. But when the extraction is stopped the steam precipitates inside the pipe and this resulted in rusting at the bottom of the pipe. There was a risk of holes forming in the pipe, so its replacement was justified.   

 

  • Other activities 

We have performed the rust-free piping of separators and we have produced vacuum chambers for cylinder washing machine drums, which are still operational to this day.

 

Fortunately, the list of our assignments and works is long and diverse. It has happened that we did not perform classical building engineering works, but as an end result our client was satisfied, which is a guarantee for further orders from them.
